The BP9833A is a high precision buck constantcurrent LED driver. The device operates in criticalconduction mode and is suitable for 85Vac~265Vacuniversal input offline LED lighting.The BP9833A integrates a 500V power MOSFET.With patent pending MOSFET driving technique, theoperating current of the IC is very low. So it doesn’tneed the auxiliary winding for supplying the chip. Itcan achieve excellent constant current performancewith very few external components, so the systemcost and size are minimized.The BP9833A utilizes patent pending current controlmethod. It can achieve precise output current andexcellent line regulation. The driver operates incritical conduction mode, the output current does notchange with the inductance and LED output voltage.The BP9833A offers rich protection functions toimprove the system reliability, including LED opencircuit protection, LED short circuit protection, VCCunder voltage protection, CS resistor short circuitprotection and thermal regulation function.
