Analog offers highly integrated, single-device solutions combining high-side and low-side switches, H-bridge and H-bridge stepper motor drivers using the SMARTMOS technologies and Freescale standard Flash MCU (HC08 / HCS12) technology in a single package. Combining these application specific analog features with network capabilities (LIN) and the essential system basis chip (SBC) functionality along with an embedded MCU offers several advantages to the standard approach including a smaller footprint, reduced component count, optimized low-power consumption (for energy efficient applications) and reduced system cost.
The Embedded MCU plus Power portfolio offers two device families, Intelligent Distributed Control (IDC) devices and S12 MagniV devices. IDC devices are dual-die solutions that cover a wide application range in the domain of distributed small DC stepper motor control and battery management. S12 MagniV devices offer single and dual-die solutions that are ideal for relay-driven motor applications.
